MacHiccup

After a week of use, I've encountered a (well-documented, it turns out) software bug: when my MacBook wakes from a long sleep (more than twenty minutes or so), the AirPort card is off, and I can't turn it back on. Only rebooting helps, and this morning I had to reboot three times before all was well.

It's only happened once, and I hope it will continue to be mostly-not-a-problem. But it's there, and it's an annoyance.

It hasn't tarnished the coating of bliss on my Mac experience, however. I've done a fair bit of programming, and no complex system is ever without bugs. Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, whatever....sooner or later, you'll have some buggy wacko thing happen, and you'll have to figure out how to patch it, or how to live with it.

I lived with lots of quirks under Windows. I can definitely live with this under OS X.
